Meridian Ledgerworks exists because ambitious fintech roadmaps too often die on contact with real financial systems—legacy cores, compliance obligations, vendor constraints, and operational teams left out of the conversation. We build the bridge.

Our story

Product ambition, integration realism

Meridian Ledgerworks was founded by Eleanor Whitcombe after a pattern repeated itself across a decade and a half of technology programs inside banks and payments businesses: the strategy was sound, the designs were beautiful, and the initiative still stalled the moment it touched the core, the compliance calendar, or the operations queue.

The problem was rarely ambition. It was the missing middle—the integration engineering, the operational design, the honest sequencing—that connects a product vision to the systems that must actually carry it. So Eleanor assembled a firm dedicated entirely to that middle: senior practitioners in product, engineering, integration, delivery, and design who work as one accountable team inside regulated financial environments.

Today we serve banks, credit unions, payments businesses, lending platforms, and wealth-tech companies across the United States. Our positioning has not changed since day one: financial products that connect, comply, and move with confidence.

Eleanor Whitcombe

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Eleanor founded Meridian Ledgerworks after fifteen years leading technology programs inside community banks and a national payments provider, where she watched too many ambitious product roadmaps stall at the moment they met real core systems. She built the firm to close that gap—pairing product ambition with integration realism. She still leads discovery conversations personally and is known for asking the question that saves six months: "What happens to this workflow on the day something goes wrong?"

Marcus leads the engineering practice and sets the technical bar for every build. Before Meridian, he spent a decade architecting event-driven payment services and API platforms for high-volume fintechs, including two processor migrations executed without customer downtime. He is a relentless advocate for idempotency, observability, and reversible deployments—and he reviews architecture personally on every engagement his teams deliver.

Priya owns the hardest part of every project: making new products and old systems speak the same language. Her background spans core-adjacent modernization, data migration, and settlement reconciliation at two regional banks and a lending technology company. She has a gift for mapping tangled integration landscapes into clear sequences, and she insists that every data flow be documented well enough that a client engineer could rebuild it from the diagram alone.

Head of Delivery Operations

Daniel makes sure promises become releases. He ran delivery management offices for a financial software vendor and a credit union services organization before joining Meridian, where he designed the five-stage delivery model the firm still uses. Clients consistently cite his weekly notes—plain-English summaries of what shipped, what changed, and what needs a decision—as the clearest reporting they have ever received from an external partner.

Principal Product Designer

Charlotte leads design for customer-facing products and the internal tools behind them. Trained in human-computer interaction and hardened by years designing servicing consoles for lending operations teams, she believes the best financial interfaces make the correct action the obvious one. She runs usability sessions with real customers and frontline agents on every project, and she champions accessibility as a baseline rather than a finishing touch.
